Sony Xperia Z update

Hi

Following on from my SII update thread, I couldn't roll back the firmware update so changed my phone yesterday.

I went for the Xperia Z and think it's great however, it's asking me to do an update!

I don't want to fall into the same position I was with the SII, so basically, has anyone got a Z and have they updated it.

I know it's linked to Jellybean (which is what the SII was) but my question is....

On the "old style" texting ie not the qwerty keypad, if you do the update, does the ability to turn off predictive text disappear from the main page ie the button to the left of the GHI button.

I know it's a really stupid question but I prefer to use this way of writing and this was my main gripe with the SII update - the button went and to turn off predictive text, you had to go into the settings, turn it off, then back on again when you had completed the word that you wanted......a lot of faff!

I've looked online but can't see anything specific about this.

Thanks
