Although for larger sums they may want you to do it in person, for security.
I have never had a problem transferring money from a Santander esave account or a current account to anywhere.
My experience is that they sometimes ask you to verify the transaction via a mobile phone code. Some transactions happen immediately, some are done overnight. The overnight ones are either higher sums or payees that have not been used recently. Never tried with more than £15K at a time.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

i'll just spell it out for you
Santander esaver withdrawal limits is £15k/day
is that clear enough now

Except what you say is not true. I can transfer much more (as much as I have in the esaver) to my current account, and from there pay bills, or make transfers for up to £100K a day.0 -

?
Your wrong.
Read the link I quoted to you.0 -
We transfered significantly more than that out in a single transaction when paying down the mortgage - had no problems at all despite them saying it could be held up while security checks were done. We previously transferred £1 to the same destination account to "initialise" the transfer and ensure the funds got to the correct account.0

Withdrawal limit is £100k per 'account', per 'day'.
That means by transferring internally to a second esaver (or separate current account) multiples of £100 withdrawal are indeed possible.
'Per day' refers to a rolling 24 hour period - not simply date - and Santander seems to use a seven day week unlike some other banks......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
Assuming people keep within their £85K (per person) FSCS protection, there shouldn't be any reason for why they couldn't transfer as much as they like on any single day out of their Santander current account.
Anyone keeping more than £85K in a single UK financial institution has a far bigger problem than figuring out what the daily transfer limit is.0 -

I first thought this.
But why does it state it goes through faster payment then. And to check if 'your' bank operates in the faster payment system.0
