Hi All,

I have been cleaning up a slow computer to replace the VERY slow old lappy that wifey uses and after gettig rid of a few infetions decided to install tweakUI and make a few fine adjustments.

I also downloaded the AVG removal tool from AVG as its anti virus was running while Avast was running.

I also deleted a few obsolete progs.

Rebooted and now I am locked out.

Asking for a password that as never been set.

Gone into Bios and blanked both password settings but still no good.

What now?

Please help :A

Pretty please, even?

Replace hard drive...reinstall OS. Restore data from old hard drive then use old hard drive as backup. That's the easy way...hard drives are so cheap nowadays that's all I can be bothered to do now. Previously I'd get rescue disks backup the data onto cd/dvd, reinstall the OS and restore the data.

Just bypass it with Offline NT Password and Registry editor

If need be I can upload the LG XP Recovery disc for you to run a clean install. Though you'll need to back up the Drivers for yourself beforehand.

Oh dear. Re-install it is then.
I take it there is no other way in.

If I am to download the LG op sys (The offer for which I am grateful) I am better off waiting till my own PC is up & running, perhaps, as the alternative (Lappy) is a bit of a slug. :

NiftyDigits has provided the correct answer, most of the other solutions listed so far will cause you to lose all existing data.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it
