Pitta chips - cut pitta breads into triangles, separate the 2 layers and brush lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle herbs/parmasan/seeds etc. on a few of each and chuck in the oven at 400c for about 10 minutes.

Muffin pizza's (can be made on wholemeal or white) - spread tomato puree on each side of a sliced muffin, sprinkle with cheese etc and chuck under the grill.

Frozen grapes are nice, a bit like boiled sweets. Also, banana lollies (bananas threaded onto a stick, dipped in chocolate, sprinkles with hundreds and thousands and bunged in the freezer.

Another vote for fruit kebabs here - they're always popular with all ages :D

And my DS loves corn on the cob - another healthy and tasty one. :)

Thanks everyone! I'm just doing my shopping list now....the fruit kebabs are a fab idea! I wonder if anyone can think of anything other than sharp wooden sticks as I'm worried they might poke their/each other's eyes out as they're only 2? All suggestions welcome! I had thought of rosemary stalks but our rosemary is only stubby, lol!

    Thanks again!

When mine were little they loved orange jelly boats. Cut an orange in half and squeeze out the juice, scoop out the flesh then make up orange jelly, using the juice from the oranges (make it up with slightly less water so that it is quite firm) then fill the orange halves and let the jelly set.

When set completely cut the orange halves into half again and add a cocktail stick and sail to make then look like boats! Very pretty and the children can tehm just each the jelly straight from the ornage skin.

Tiny bread rolls cut in half & spread with Dairylea then make faces using cress or grated carrot/red leicester for hair & raisons, cucumber etc for eyes & mouth.

Thanks! Just been on Annabel Karmel's website

    https://www.annabelkarmel.com

and found the orange jelly boats, they look fab!!! I hope mine work ok, ta for the tip about making it firmer so they don't drop to bits.

I'm panicking about when to do stuff as I'm rubbish at planning. We now have another 2yr old and his family coming which means I am panicking even more!!!

I thought about making mini pizzas using my breadmaker for the pizza dough...just hoping it's foolproof as I've never used it for pizza dough before. I know there's a thread about pizza dough in Panasonics somewhere..best go find it....!!

Good idea about drinking straws instead of skewers...does anyone know of a place that sell those really skinny ones?

We had fruit kebabs made with toothpicks for DS's 1st birthday, and a lot of the kiddies were even less than 1, and they all managed fine, obviously with a lot of supervision from the mums.

But the thin straws is a good idea. :)
