My bad amazon review was removed

Got some sea monkeys for my 6 year old dd,

It was delivered quickly but the sachet that contained the powdered eggs was wet resulting in the powder being more like a gel.will have to wait and see if they will hatch which I doubt they will.

So this is what I wrote on the amazon review for the sea monkeys,
And I had an email today saying it had been removed as it "didn't meet their guidelines"

How can they do this?they can't just remove all the bad reviews??

People should know that after spending ten pounds on this item it may come damaged like mine! Gggrrrr

I can only suggest that you check the guidelines and repost your review. I suspect (but don't know for a fact) that it is because you have posted a supposition about what might happen, rather than simply sticking to the facts.

I have recently posted two factual but poor reviews (giving only one star, and stating that I would not recommend the item) on Amazon, and neither has been removed. So I doubt that it is simply a case of your review being removed because you were not satisfied with the product.

Amazon certainly do not remove all bad reviews.

They don't even remove some that they should (such as yours) which review the delivery process and are thus useless for gaining information about the product.

Unless there is some inherent weakness in the manufacturer's packaging that is going to cause the problem to occur frequently, what happened on one particular order is not really relevant to other potential purchasers.

I've even seen people give one star reviews for products that they said were excellent on the basis of a delay due to a postal strike.

I read a review of a book yesterday that was one star. The reason for the poor review was the buyer thought they were buying the authors sequel but in actual fact they had bought the French addition of the same book.

As the books title was in French it seemed pretty obvious.

The moral of the story is that people are idiots and amazon don't remove negative reviews.

I suspect yours was too emotional and you used inappropriate language. Why don't you post the review on here?

Yes but it's not a review of the product. You should complain to amazon and ask for a second to be sent.

Which is not the products fault. You are not reviewing the product.

If I buy a Sony tv from amazon and it gets dropped before it gets to me then the tv is broke. However a negative review of the tv is useless as its not the tvs fault it's broke!

I'm surprised your review was deleted but let's face it, the review was useless to anyone else thinking of buying the product!

You can't seem to understand you're reviewing amazons delivery not the product....

You are the sort of reviewer that every intelligent person despairs about as you mess up the actual review system with your ridiculous irrelevant complaints!

I will repeat again, it is not a fair review of the product that amazon got it wet when they delivered it.......

I'm glad your review was deleted, its the first battle won in the war against poor reviewers!
