    I never asked her at first I just said I want to open an account and her response was:-

    "As far as I know you can only earn 5% on one of these accounts"

    Thats when I got her to ask a supervisor

    Online seems to be the way forward

    Quite quick when you have online banking - all pre-populated - when should I open the 3rd one - tomorrow?

    I left a clear business day between my applications...and I'd do the same again. So my advice would be wait until Monday/Tuesday.

    2xNationwide (1xFA, 1xFD)
    3xTSB
    4xHBOS

    I couldn't have an extra NW FD as it would upset my system, plus I really couldn't be bothered to transfer 1K into each of the accounts, I don't mind the above as each bank (not account) only requires 1K each.
