You can uncross them - not happening - only get interest on one account - I asked her to speak to a supervisor - and she came back with the same answer

What have you got to lose by opening another? Just bung £100 in it, and if you get the 5% rate then great!...if you don't, what have you lost?...20p and a bit of time?
