The OP must have taken a lot of time and effort, zippychick. I'll be back at the start of December when I may appreciate it!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I think this is great zippychick and will be subscribing - there is also the holly and ivy thread over in special occasions which is general chat but also bargain spotting and ideas etc that opened for Dec 2013 on Boxing Day December 2012 so May is positively late ;-) Thanks for all the links I'll read them soon - thank you.0

Thankyou for starting the thread. I have an ongoing list of ideas for presents and actual presents I have bought. Also ideas. I shall add the link to my list:santa2:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Phew Zippy, I was beginning to think Christmas would be late this year!
I'm afraid I'm not going bonkers this year. I felt the hampers weren't quite as appreciated as the previous ones, and perhaps people need a change this year. In which case they will be getting a very cheap pressie I'm afraid. I do already have some things for the children I've picked up at bargain prices, and I'll make some kind of treat to affix to presents, but that's it this year. Am aiming for cheap and low key!0 -
Yey, already have lts of pressies, or the bits to make them. Just have To make now!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
As sad as it makes me sound, I got some great bargains this week to add to my present stash! A discount shop in Harrogate is closing down and they were selling off Floriography gift sets for £3.50 - rrp £22.50 and £19.99 on Amazon. I came out with 7 boxes!!!! It's gorgeous stuff and at that price I even treat myself to a box!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

i havent done anything yet, my savings have started but havent bought anything
I have seen a few things for my niece that I might order this weekend but nothing for anyone else yet0 -
I got all of my wrapping paper, cards etc in the sales and have a growing present stash in a bedroom cupboard. Last year we moved house in Dec so Christmas was a big rush and done on a very tight budget - I wanted to enjoy it more this year so want to get good presents sorted through the year. Plus we're trying for a baby, so theres no way I want to be doing Christmas shopping when (hopefully) heavily pregnant!
Thanks for setting up the thread, I am subbing0
