Advice - Moving to USA.

I have been presented an opportunity to join a tech startup company in the USA.

I'm a Born UK citizen.

At this moment I am fairly oblivious to the procedures of travelling to the USA, therefore any help would be sincerely appreciated.

I know the company cannot do any type of sponsorship for me at this time. What restrictions do I face?

My guess is that there is no straight forward visa I can apply for which allows me to live and work in the US, right?

Therefore where do I start and what are my options? Certain limitations of stay length? Where to apply for a visa? Where to find more info?

Any information which can assist on this process I would be greatly, greatly appreciative.

I was hoping to move in the next month.

Thanks.

if you don't have any sponsorship I would imagine that you'll find it quite difficult.

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

If the company can't get you a visa then I don't see how it's possible. Surely they should be thinking of this if they are offering a non US citizen a job it's pretty obvious to an employer?

Its a new company I am Co-founder, so we are just trying to work out logistics.

Is the longest length of stay 90days for travel visa. Is there a wait time on returning?

    Can't find this info. TY

There isn't a set time but you can't just go home then fly back the next day. If you try to do this they won't let you back in and could bar you from future trips.

If you're the co-founder then why not just set it up here & use Skype etc with your workers?

Or set it up with someone from the uk?

and if you're found to be working in the US while in the country as a tourist under the VWP I should imagine that will not be an ideal situation.

I'd seek proper professional advice and not rely on internet message board for this sort of thing...you don't want to risk issues with your new company because you didn't dot your i's and cross your t's.

    Understood, thanks.

Is the the limit 90days per trip though?

Yes, something we have considered for the short-term but ultimately I need to be over there.

Thanks for this. This looks like could work.

"Create or preserve at least 10 full-time jobs for qualifying U.S. workers within two years (or under certain circumstances, within a reasonable time after the two-year period) of the immigrant investor’s admission to the United States as a Conditional Permanent Resident."

presumably this is based on expected predictions. We don't have to have 10+ employees before I can apply.

    TY
