Smart TV

Most smart TV's have loads of useless apps. Most have BBC iPlayer but no other catch up TV, apart from Samsung which have ITV Player as well.
Samsung seem to have the best selection of apps, followed by LG. Toshiba's have a terrible selection of cheapo rubbish, and doesn't include a browser.
Be aware that no smart TV will offer the same abilities as your laptop or desktop computer, ie they won't allow things like Silverlight or Flashplayer, which are necessary to watch many videos.
In addition, smart TV's can be very 'clunky' in operation and are very slow to respond to commands."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

If you wouldn't pay £15 to save a potential £100, then you may be on the wrong website...No free lunch, and no free laptop
