The accident she had will be recorded and will come to light. Deliberate non-disclosure will come back to bite her in her posterior. If in the future she has an insurance policy cancelled because of the non disclosure she will end up paying far more than a small rise in premium now.0

It's certainly possible, and you will have to declare it every time you take out insurance of any kind in the future with no time limit. There's usually a question along the lines of 'Have you ever had an insurance policy cancelled'?0 -

I guess I will have to try and convince her. What are the repercussions of not telling the insurance company of the crash after a year, other than the premium rise?0 -
None but it might be worth doing a couple of dummy quotes to find out what sort of premium increase she can expect and to make sure they will actually offer cover.
Obviously the premium increase will be back dated
Then she needs to ring and explain that she wrongly assumed she didn't have to disclose as it was a non fault and she didn't make a claim0 -
She said no she will not tell her insurers. Therefore, I guess I shall pay the £300 extra. Oh well.0

Have you shown her this thread?
You could split the £300 with her - she sounds mercenary, so that might persuade her to grow up!0 -

Do you have a 24hour Asda nearby? If so, nip down, buy a pair of trousers, put them on and tell her who is boss.
Seriously, she needs to sort this now so she doesn't learn a very expensive lesson.0 -
It will be on CUE she's about 99% certain to get caught if she has a claim is it really not worth 50 quid to have a valid policy that would actually pay out in the event of making a claim?0

I agree. I cannot convince her.0
