damm now i,m confused should i switch to the A+L account recommended by martin or not. i make regular use of my Overdraft and the Travel insurance thrown in has me very tempted.i,m moving my sole current account from Lloyds TSB after the refused to discount my Platinum account fee again.
but i need to upgrade the travel insurance to joint Worldwide and i have a joint account with First Direct so expect high standard of customer service. i don,t want a overpriced annual worldwide policy thats crap for the Money or Indian call centers .
any thoughts ??Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Picture this for a good one, I had just been made unemployed, I phoned them up to cancel 2 direct debits, no problem the advisor said, Anyway the direct debits attempt to go out 5 days later, but because I have no money they bounce, theres £50 and a further £25 for going over drawn,
Also, if you had informed the originators, it's doubtful you would have given them enough time to cancel with only 5 days notice.
The correct procedure for cancelling DD's can be found at the bottom of any DD guarantee.0 -
I've been with A&L (Premier Direct account) for over 3 years now without any problems. I've never had to phone, everything I do is done on the website. I've been overdrawn on a number of occasions (but within the agreed limit) and have never been charged any more than the interest due.
When you take into account the free overdraft in year 1, the travel insurance and the 6% current account interest this has to be an unbeatable deal in the banking sector.
I cetainly haven't ever regretted making the move.Keep smiling,
