    queenies biscuits

    225g butter
    100g suger
    225g flour
    vanilla essence

i have made these a few times now that i no longer need to look to know what i am doing, kids scoff em too quick, we made a batch a few days ago which are now gone, doubled mixture today and its now in fridge waiting to be used

Quick question about these biccies, I made these before but with marg instead of butter. Will this be why I couldn't do the slices? I ended up cutting off blobs and shaping them a vague sort of round biscuit shape.

The kiddlies love 'em, so I'd like to make more :)

Must say Queenies everyday biscuits are gorgeous for being so simple! I made 10 very thin ones and have eaten them all! The rest of the roll is in the fridge, and am going to pop it in the freezer. Great stuff.! Just what i needed, another fattening HM thing to tempt myself with! :rotfl:

    200g soft butter
    75g caster sugar
    125ml condensed milk
    250g plain flour
    1tsp baking powder
    300g choc chips

Cream butter and sugar, stir in condensed milk, fold in flour and baking powder, and stir in choc chips. Roll into balls and bake for about 15 mins at GM4 until lightly golden. Let cool on baking sheets for only about 2 mins before transferring to a cooling rack. Keep kids out of kitchen while they cool as they are also yummy when slightly warm, and you may not have many to put away otherwise. I find these quantities make about 2 dozen.

These are great to do as you can add all sorts of things instead of, or as well as some choc chips. I often do a mix of choc chip and raisin, raisin and mixed peel etc. I never add the sugar as I find the condensed milk is sweet enough. I find these quantities make about 40.

I've really fallen for the banana bread recipe posted on another thread - so much so I am making a loaf or a few muffin sized buns a week for my house and one for my parents now!

Also, Bero choc chip cookies, scones and cupcakes are regulars.

I have stacking tins though so need to remember to eat what is in the bottom tin as well as the top (only small) :)

    Chocolate Biscuit Cakes

8 oz crushed biscuits (Rich Tea, Digestive or any plain biscuits)
    4 oz Margarine
    1 Tablespoon Caster Sugar
    1 Tablesspoon Cocoa
    1 Tablespoon Golden Syrup
    1 oz Raisins (Optional)
    Chocolate

Melt Margarine in large saucepan (don't let it get too hot), add sugar, cocoa and syrup. Mix in crushed biscuits until well coated. Press down into square tin approx 6 x 6". Leave to set and cool. Cover with melted chocolate. I usually use cooking chocolate. Cut into squares.
