DHCP only assigns an IP address to my laptop some of the time.

I know, this is the second time I am having to claim on it  They have finally agreed to replace it after trying to wriggle out. The ADSL light will not come on so they were trying to insist it is a problem with our line, but they have had to back down now as this new router connects just fine. I spent hours on the phone to them yesterday pinging left, right and centre with them trying to prove it was their box and not our line
Thanks for the advice though!

May be something in there to tell you where to find it
Thankyou for finding that for me, you have been very helpful!! I will have a look and see if I can find the IP address thing.

Hiya,
I still havent managed to get this ip problem working properly but I think it may have something to do with DHCP only wanting to assign an IP address to one wireless computer.
It seems that if my son's pc is on (wireless) then the laptop can't get an ip address, but if its off, the laptop can connect no problem.
Does anyone know how I can set up an edimax router to assign more than one ip address? I have looked everywhere in the web interface thing but i can't find it.
I would be really grateful for any help!

Which exact model?
Try Interface Setup - LAN to enable DHCP server and other settings.0 -

The model number is AR-7064g+A.
I have looked where you said and it says:-
Starting IP 192.168.16.70
IP pool count - 32
Does this look like we should be able to get IP's assigned for up to 32 computers?
Sorry for being such a pain, this has been driving me mad for days!

Yes, that would be my guess. Check your ipconfig /all for each wired and wireless computer and make sure they have unique IP addresses. The first one should be 192.168.16.70, the next 192.168.16.71.Starting IP 192.168.16.70

On that same config screen, what are the settings for Router Local IP? (IP address, subnet mask etc.. - everything).0
