flight delay compensation

had 8 hour delay with Thos Cook in 2008 have claimed the appropriate compensation and 6 weeks later have received a Thos Cook voucher from them for £350 per delayed passenger. Can only be used on their flights or holidays within the next 12 months. Has anyone had similar and still pursued them. Their letter says final offer but refer to CAA if not happy. Any comments???
