Using Aqua credit card for spending in USA?
Abatement
Just checked all my cards on the 'best way to spend abroad' page on this website, and it seems that my Aqua credit card comes up best. Is this definitely right? I'm just surprised that a 'sub-prime' card has good rates for foreign transactions...am I missing a catch?

It depends which Aqua card you have. The one with preferential overseas rates is the 3% cashback one.0

Yes it's the 3% cashback one. So all ok?0

Yes all ok, good exchange rate and cashback too.
Don't withdraw cash on it !!!!0 -
what should I do for cash? Change it before I go, or withdraw on a debit card?0

In USA you shouldn't need a lot of cash. Cards are widely used, but in the past we have been asked for photo Id as they don't use Pins. We have several of the cards that are good for using abroad Halifax clarity reward, Nationwide and Norwich and Peterborough, as well as the Aqua.
Don't rely on one card incase it gets blocked, lost, stolen.0
