Shoes falling apart after 3 weeks

Its bending the rule a bit, but cant you buy another pair of shoes that are the same. Keep them a couple of weeks then return the original ones with the new ones receipt? As they are faulty you are entitled by law to a refund.
That way you will at least have a decent pair of shoes and your money back on the ones that fell apart.0 -

personally wouldnt advocate fraud. IMHO it makes the OP as bad as the shop selling shoddy goods in the first place

I very much agree that that is just plain fraud. Not really the sort of advice I was after!, plus I don't want the same pair again as they are very badly made.
I have been back to the shop and they have flatly reused. They have the same shoes on the shelf still, with a sign saying 'new stock', oh I was so tempted to pull out my biro and scibble a warning to anyone else.
My OH has said we can afford new shoes for me this weekend, but this means we have to delay gtting my toddlers summer sandals until next month, so I'd rather just wear these until they literally fall off my feet (which by the looks of them won't be long)Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
If their sign says, "No returns or refunds" without qualifying this with, "This does not affect your statutory rights", then they are acting illegally.
If it does, and you are feeling that way out, then you can report them to Trading Standards and they should investigate (they did when I reported a store for exactly the same thing).
Do you not have a bank statement or something that shows the purchase? If you do, then that's good enough proof.
