Plant ID needed - They're growing everywhere!!
We moved into our house about 3 years ago and suddenly this year lots of these little plants are appearing everywhere! All over the entire garden! Please tell me they're something pretty and not a nasty triffid that's about to take over! :rotfl:

I'm not sure what they are, but in my garden I hoik them out asap as they're very deep rooted so possibly something treelike that you may not want lots of.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Sorry but you have a problem , good luck.0

looks like ground elder to me,a weed !0

Sorry to be pessimistic -if it is this..but it will be difficult to get rid of & quite a challenge.Every little bit of root left in the ground will be able to grow again so you will need to dig & pick out every bit of root.If it's in your borders the easiest thing is probably to take out the good plants you want to keep & tease every bit of it from the roots of the plant you want to keep& replant them when you've made sure the border is free of it !0

I don't think this is ground elder (and my old garden had loads). My money's on ash tree seedlings. Dig them out (deep). Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Thanks for the replies! Fingers crossed it's not ground elder, ash tree seedlings would be nice though, wouldn't mind keeping a couple of those and letting them grow!
there's a few rows of trees behind the garden so could be ash among them!

Sorry for the confusion ..I wouldn't wish ground elder on any one.Hope it's ash saplings ..better pull them up or you'll have a forest instead of a garden.0

We've already had to pull up lots of baby birch trees for the past 3 years, left a couple in and they've already nearly as tall as me! :O Think i'll leave a couple of these new seedlings in and pull the rest up quick then!0

Don't leave an ash in to close to your house, they are notoriously thirsty and can cause ground subsidence when they get big.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
