£7 a month on a two year contract. That translates into a total cost of ownership of £168 on T-Mobile via Carphone Warehouse. You only get 50 minutes and 250 texts though which means that this package would better suit someone who doesn't want to buy a phone outright or wishes to get an additional SIM as well.

    Expensive!

You can buy the phone outright for £140 (for example from ebuyer) and avoid the stress, hassle and financial risk of a contract.

The T mobile contract call minutes allowance is miserly.

You can get 150 minutes, 200 texts and 400mb free each month with Ovivo. It is PAYG so low risk and you can port out any time you wish. And if you go over your allowance by a little the extra minutes or texts or allowance isn't too too much more whereas I suspect that T mobile will sting you if you go over your allowance.

    Best avoided.

Exactly.. 50 minutes and no data is rubbish.. so all your doing is buying a phone on easy credit over 2 years and tied in to a useless contract bolted on.

This type of phones needs data it would cost a fortune on this contract.

This is the sort of deal the salesman keeps for when he sees someone walking in the store wearing a wally bobble hat and dribbling slightly out the side of their mouth.

Another of the ops deadly deals.

There is a deal for 7.50 with TM with 500MB data, 5000 SMS and 75 mins... This is far better. As a price I do not see £7 as expensive at all but its definately worth the extra 50p.

Still tied in to rubbish 75 mins so a good chance of running up plenty of call charges for many people, but then thats why they design the tariffs like that.

You can get this phone for £89 from CPW if you know via a PAYG upgrade - this deal is rubbish.
