Hi all some advise would be very much appreciated here please.
I have just had a Parking charge notice through from Elite Management (Midlands)Ltd, stating that i parked in a place i dont know of and cant find on Google maps, that i havent replied/paid since the notice was attached to my car (never had one) and that i now owe them £100. Reason for issue was No Permit! This was apparently from the 28th February this year.
I have called the third party company as i really have no idea about this and they are contacting Elite Management for photos of my car being parked.
What i need to know is where i stand? I really have no idea of where this passage is i am supposed to of parked or of any notice on my car. Ive never had a ticket for speeding or anything else so this is all new and a shock to me.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Until the photos come back, just keep the letter and wait.0

It's a scam, previous advice would have been to just ignore it but one of the regulars will be along shortly to give you sound advice. Please don't pay them a penny until you fully understand all the options available to you.0

You can stand wherever you want, this is a scam it's that simple. You have 3 choices
1) pay the scammers
2) appeal to the scammers, when rejected appeal to popla
3) ignore the scammers
The first is only an option if you are frankly insane, the second is real option if you are in England or Wales. Popla by the way is the independent appeals that can be used with our help, don't do it alone. Or the third option is to ignore it completely, there is very little chance that they will issue a claim to the courts, in fact it would be the first. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

You mention a 3rd party company. Does this mean this is a lease car or company car?
If a ticket is alleged to have been left on the car 28th Feb then a follow up Notice To Keeper must be delivered between 28 days & 56 days later. Which is roughly between 28th March & 25th April. If the NTK was actually delivered in the last three weeks then it is out of time & cannot be relied on by Elite Management to pursue the registered keeper for any unpaid parking charge under Schedule 4 of POFA 2012.0 -
Hi Nigelbb,
Thank you. The 3rd party company is PCN Parking services, they referred to themselves as the third party company when i was on the phone to them. This is the first i have had in even knowing about the charge so no, no other letters have been received a bit like the ticket they supposedly put on the car in a road i cant even find!
So from what you are saying, whether a scam or not as they are outside the time lines they are really unable to pursue me?0 -
Is this Elite Management (Midlands) Ltd., as in this pepipoo thread (from 2012 when the only option at that time was to ignore the scam)?

In theory, anyone could try to 'pursue' an alleged debt against you by issuing small claim forms, so no-one can say for certain they wouldn't try (some scammer PPCs do, but it's defendable and doesn't even result in a hearing when well defended). Usually it's a matter of ignoring a flurry of scary debt recovery threatograms (junk mail) till the whole scam fizzles out.
But if this was in England/Wales and if this was the FIRST postal letter to arrive then they have failed to meet the deadline needed for potential 'keeper liability'.
Trouble is you actually phoned a debt collector (why?! they are powerless pen-pushers and this isn't a fine, you didn't have to phone them). And if you sit and wait for the photos then you could ALSO miss a deadline; namely your deadline to send a written challenge as per the Notice to Keeper.
Why don't you simply read any other threads about any parking company on page one here? You'll soon see where you stand with this con and learn how to word a strong challenge appeal, still NOT saying who was driving nor giving any information (you don't even need the photos as your appeal should not even be about your car or 'who did/didn't do what' at all!). Read other threads for a while to see how to appeal without giving information. In England and Wales we no longer always say 'ignore' - as we did in 2012 - because POPLA is better and gets these fake PCNs cancelled at the scammer's own expense, if worded properly. And POPLA isn't binding on you anyway and is free for the motorist.
The scammers will probably reject it when you first send your challenge to them, and then you can get help to word a stronger POPLA appeal. Do not go alone with the POPLA stage, don't repeat the same challenge for POPLA and don't miss your deadlines either.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

hi all its been a couple of months since I made this post. I was contacted by a debt recovery company who I told point blank no evidence no money.
Today I have received an email with photos of my old car with a parking ticket on it. There are a couple of things wrong on the photos aside from the non existent road that I've looked for on Google. These things are, my seat belts in the rear are fastened, I have 3 children one of which has a booster seat with a back. The other is the time the photo was taken I would have been finishing the morning school run.
This is starting to get to me now. If anyone can please help with this I would be most grateful.0 -

If it's on private property then it's literally a request for monies. There is no economic loss to anyone for failing to display a permit. If it was me then I'd continue to ignore.Search my post " PoPLA evidence - What to submit" on what is a good defense for a PoPLA appeal.0 -
I can do ignoring for now but feel there will be a letter coming soon also. I hate things like this when I know I've done nothing wrong but I'm being made out I have. For starters surely the road the pics and car are in would show up when you search for it!?0

So you'll get a letter in the post. I get all sorts in the post, much of which goes straight into the recycling. I call it junk mail.
BTW, unlike other junk mail, don't chuck it away. File it, just in case. Nevertheless, it deseves the same scorn as any other junk mail.0
