Primus NewCall

Warning stay away from Primus NewCall
I would also like to warn anybody thinking of using Primus. I was also conned by the promise of cheap line rental and a broadband package which never worked. After spending days on the phone trying to get assistance, and the promises that they would get back to me to get the system working nothing happened. Primus Customer Services is non existent. The system and router that they supplied never worked from the start. I could not receive or send any emails and the wireless router was so weak it was useless outside the room that I was working from. Primus made no attempt to contct me whatsoever so I cancelled the contract. I have since found that they have charged me £235 cancellation fee and another £30 for the calls which I made to them to try to get the system working. This money was just taken from my account without my knowledge. They did not supply me with a statement at all prior to stealing the money. They knew that I could not see any statements that they emailed as my Outlook Express would not work on their system, until their technical support contacted me to help me set it up. I would also like to add that when I changed supplier back to Orange, Primus would not release my telephone number. This meant that the only way that I could get back on the phone was to be given a new home phone telephone number. There should be a regulator with teeth to stop this practice of conmen making easy money by supplying a useless service and then charging extortionate sums for the cancellation.
