Sorry to jump in, but i saw many, many, many cockroaches in Turkey.

If you are self catering the sink plunger things provided are to put over the drains in kitchen and bathroom so they they dont infest your apartment when the lights go out. I do wish the tour guide had told us this before the 2nd day... *shudder*

Hi! Look....we've had bombs HERE! I appreciate that you've 2 kids but think rationally about the risks/odds.

The bombs were 100's of miles away-it's like saying if there was a bomb in Paris you would not feel safe in the UK??!

Bear in mind the few bombs that have gone off in Turkey have been in public areas in the resort centre or on busses-not heard if any going off at Hotels (security checks too high). Bear in mind there have been threats to bomb Benidorm too but it's not stopped people going!!!

As far as roaches go...in any e med destination there are some. But the accom would have to be really really really filthy to have an infestation. You might see the odd one-so what?? You can by roach spray over there if you feel the need.

iv been and come back alive lol.
weather was great and have a brill tan.
but to be honest i dont think id go back.beach was rotten.food was ok but nothing to get excited about.
and i got a bit bored after hitting the local markets and being dragged into every shop i passed.wasnt terrible but kind of expected more
