It's common, most phones directly from networks (and some CPW / P4U handsets) will be locked. £20 is a lot cheaper than the £100 odd it costs to unlock an iPhone if you don't use Orange.
I paid my £20 back in March and am still waiting for them to unlock it, no point in phoning them customer service is disgusting.0 -
I have now contacted watchdog, if enough do perhaps they will feature it.

If you haven't bothered to chase it up, even once, I really doubt they will be interested. Won't make good TV really, will it.
And have you checked your spam email folders to make sure your ready for unlock email notification from orange, hasn't been filtered as junk?0 -

I have phoned them several times and get a different answer as to why it hasn't been unlocked, their reasons so far have included, there is a delay, for some reason it hadn't been auctioned will sort that for you now, that isn't the imei number we sent for unlocking, are you sure you bought the phone from us. It is ridiculous, I also check the phone regularly with a diff sim to see if they have unlocked it without notifying me.
They are an absolute shower to deal with when there is a problem - never again!0 -

You are connecting to iTunes to check? And waiting for the message "the SIM card is not supported" on the PC?====0 -
To reclaim your unlock fees you can always contact your provider and ask for a refund in exchange for re-locking your handset to the network. Same way you reclaim back the majority of products and services you decide you don't want to pay for... By giving it back in exchange for a refund.0

Yes you can but even if they refund my £20 I would still be left with a phone that is unlocked.0 -
What answer have you had from the Executive Office as to why it has not been actioned?
I received an acknowledgement email, which as it came seconds after sending mine is obviously just an email received generic email, email could not have been read so quickly, lol.
