Concert ticket refund

All the band's website says is
http://www.bonjovi.com/en/news/49266427862/all-shows-will-go-on-as-scheduled#.UZOWmMpbOgI
Have you got a screenshot of them offering refunds?
One news report mentions bonjovi.com mentioning a refund but the rest just say 'fans aren't happy and posts asking for refunds are being deleted'
Hi,
Yes here is a link to the news item on 4th May from the Bon Jovi website:

As I said I'm a massive Bon Jovi fan but honestly? I'm a bigger Sambora fan, given the choice of going to see Jon Bon Jovi or Richie Sambora in concert I'd choose Richie every time.
It wouldn't bother me, I'm a fan as well and I have to say when I've seen them live my time has been split between ogling Jon and David Bryan (I realise the latter probably makes me odd)

Not odd, David is definitely worth ogling:cool: He's got a great voice too - I believe he wrote "In these arms" and there is a video somewhere of him singing it and its beautiful :TThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I think (in the good old days) if I'd booked to see Guns n Roses & some random person turned up instead of Slash then I'd be rather miffed.
So I quite appreciate how it's NOT the same.
Incidentally...Slash + Velvet Revolver or (any) new band live v Axl live....mmmm Slash wins cos he mostly turns up before public transport shuts down & doesn't bog off "ill" leaving someone else to finish the show. As has happened with 2 attempts to see the Axl version of GnR over the last few years..
*realises my GnR t shirts from the 1992 gigs are now old enough to vote/leave home etc *
Crawls back under rock & looks for geriatric home for aging rock fans....:rotfl:Lurking in a galaxy far far away...0 -

Think I'll join you in that home
The last time I saw 'Fake' Gn'R though Axl did slightly redeem himself by bringing out Seb Bach, at which point I squealed like a big girl (my teenage hero)
Slash with Myles Kennedy is about as close to real Gn'R as you'll get though, the man has one hell of a voice.0 -
Hi,
Ok, I have just heard back from the website who have said:
"We're so sorry for the confusion. Our company, Sparkart, is refunding tickets purchased through the Backstage JBJ fan club, as those were sold by us on our platform. Unfortunately, we do not have influence over what other ticket vendors decide to do. You will need to communicate with your ticket vendor regarding refunds through any tickets purchased by them, as we have no record of and did not collect any funds for these purchases and do not have the ability to refund them."
So, all in all not very helpful.
Also, I haven't yet received a response to my message to AEGLive UK through Facebook. I have managed to find an e-mail address for them though so I will now try that before I go back to Seetickets....0 -
I haven't had a response to my from AEGLive UK to either my Facebook message or e-mail.
I therefore went back to Seetickets with the following:
Good afternoon Devina,
Thanks for your e-mail.
I still very much disagree that the change of the lead guitarist in the band isn't enough of a change to warrant a refund.
I have been in contact with the Bon Jovi website, who have confirmed that they are issuing refunds to customers who purchased tickets via their platform and I find it highly unfair, and inconsistent, that you are not following suit.
The tickets were purchased some time ago as a birthday present and it is extremely disappointing that not only are we not able to watch the band with the expected performers, but now we are having problems in getting a refund from yourselves despite them being offered elsewhere.
In the circumstances, your decision to refund in this case would be greatly appreciated, especially given the amount of money that I spent on the tickets.
I look forward to hearing from you.
This was their very helpful response:
Hello,
Regretfully the information provided by my colleague is final; we have been advised not to issue refunds.
We were not informed that this statement was released and the promoter has confirmed this with the event manager.
Should you wish to escalate the matter a written complaint can be submitted to the address below:
C/O Head of Complaints.
4th Floor, Norfolk House,
47 Upper Parliament Street,
Nottingham,
NG1 2AB
The fact that they were not informed of the release of the statement isn't my concern and the website is clearly acting in accordance with it.
Any ideas on what I should do now - is it worth writing in to complain?
I should point out that they are now despatching tickets for the event which they weren't when I first asked for a refund.
Thanks again.0 -
Ok, I received a message via Facebook from the promoters telling me the exact same thing as on the Bon Jovi website.
I have asked them to contact Seetickets and instruct them to provide me with a refund.
As the concert date is getting ever closer, I will try and contact the promoters via phone if possible to get things moving.0 -
I too am having the same problem! If you get anywhere with this please let me know!:j Hard up mum of three!

I'd guess you've got screenshots, call logs, names etc? If so, just send copies of it all to the relevant company (probably worth sending a letter by registered post?) and await your money0
