hi,
I am thinking off joining virgin media for both phone and broadband.
am I free to leave virgin if they increase the prices during my contract?
will there be any charge for this?
thanks

No you're not and yes there is.
It's not a fixed price contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I always thought virgin allowed you to leave when they put there prices up, my mum did it two years ago0

If the price goes up by more than the RPI then you can give notice on this basis, on the grounds that it is detrimental to your contract. However you will only have a limited window of opportunity to do this, and not at all if the rate of increase is lower.
You can leave any time you like, but an ETC will be charged subject to the above. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
