Just came across this in the Clubcard Perks section of the Tesco Clubcard website:

http://www.clubcardtv.com/signup?ReturnUrl=%2f

You need to register with your clubcard number and then can apparently access a range of movies and TV programmes.

I've just signed up and will have a browse through it later, so no idea of what is available at the moment - but, hey, it's free!

Edit: just discovered a bit that says that it is only available on PC or Mac and there are instructions to connect your computer/laptop to the TV. So it doesn't look as it it will be available on a smart TV app type thing (like Lovefilm) which is a bit of a pain.

Here is some explanation from the website:

What is Clubcard TV?

Clubcard TV is a free online movie and TV service from Tesco that is exclusively for the use of Clubcard customers. We have thousands of movies and TV shows for you to choose from - all you need to enjoy them is a Clubcard, a computer and a broadband connection.
We are able to offer great free movies and TV content because we support our programmes with advertising. These adverts will be relevant to individuals or groups of Clubcard customers. The revenue we generate from advertising and sponsorship means that our customers can enjoy Clubcard TV with no commitments and no catches.
Why choose Clubcard TV?

We offer thousands of movies and TV shows for free. There are no schedules, no subscriptions, no fees – as long as you are a Tesco Clubcard customer and you have access to the internet, you’re free to enjoy Clubcard TV. And we’re constantly updating our movies and TV shows, so there’s something for everyone.
Is Clubcard TV available to all?

Clubcard TV is available exclusively to Tesco Clubcard customers. In order to watch our fantastic range of free movies and classic TV shows, you must register your Tesco Clubcard number and postcode with us. If you are not a Tesco Clubcard member, all you have to do is sign up for a Clubcard – it takes just minutes.
Where does Clubcard TV come from?

Clubcard TV is brought to you by Tesco Clubcard and blinkbox.
Tesco is the first retailer in the UK to reward its customers with their own online movie and TV service.
blinkbox is “the best UK movie streaming service”, according to The Gadget Show. With their support, and through their relationship with the studios, we have access to an extensive choice of movies and TV shows. blinkbox is 80% owned by Tesco Plc.

It's just another attempt by Tesco to promote their Blinkbox offer. All the best material is not free of course and requires a Blinkbox subscription.

Indeed, also you can't use your smart TV Blinkbox app for Clubcard TV. All a bit naff.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Blinkbox is great, £2.50 in Tesco vouchers for 3 fairly current films (e.g. Skyfall, Life of PI), it also operates fluidly off my 6 mbps download speed.

This thread is about Clubcard TV though, which is supposedly free but is really just a promotional tool for Blinkbox.
Nothing wrong with Blinkbox, but it is not free.

I was responding to your post that introduced Blinkbox, BTW Blinkbox is PAYG not subscription.
