Asda travel money - spring rate sale problems

I went on ASDA travel money site last week and they were offering 1.16 euros to GBP, but there was a message on their website stating they were holding a spring rate sale from 8.00am 14/05/13 to 17.00 17/05/13. So I thought I'd hold off ordering my currency and get it at a better rate in the sale - went on site today before sale started and their rate was advertised as 1.1542, went back on at just after 8.00 and it wouldn't accept e mail orders so I phoned them up and rate in the sale is ...... 1.1515!!!!!!!
Needless to say I went to ICE and got 1.1609.
BEWARE!!

I went into my local Thomsons for my travel money, showed them the best deal that I could get with MSE page and they matched it. Great service and great savings.

We changed a fair bit with one of the waiters in Cyprus last year. He was planning on visiting the UK and his buy rate for £s was about 1.27 so we ended up doing a deal at 1.225 . Visa rate at the time was 1.18
