Sun tan lotions!

I really like Boots Soltan. Husband will only use malibu or calypso dry oil spray.0

Just bought the Calypso once a day SPF20 in Aldi (£5.49 for 200ml). Online reviews seem to suggest that it's much the same as P20, but I'll need to wait for some sun before I can test that out!Stompa0

Piz Buin is good and lasts all day. My kids don't like the texture of the Soltan one. Savers sell 100mls for £4.99, other than that both Boots and Superdrug currently have the 200Ml for half price (approx 9.99)0

For info the figures below indicate the percentage of UVA and UVB rays blocked by the said factor level:
SPF 2 blocks 50%
SPF 15 blocks 93%
SPF 30 blocks 97%
SPF 50 blocks 98%
SPF 70 blocks 98.6%
SPF 90 blocks 98.9%
The national cancer institute recommends SPF30 as being sufficient unless you have a specific condition or concern. It is more important that you apply the cream properly than use a higher factor cream.0 -
We use P20 too and none of us have ever burned with it.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0

Noticed the P20 stuff was in TK Maxx the other day,I didn't note the price.:j0

I've not needed to buy any yet this year, hmm wonder why...but I do like Nivea factor 25 and above. I am yet to burn with it! I also like no7 Once facial one as doesn't clog my skin up and also, never burned with it.
Lowest I might go is 15. Once you see what malignant melanomas spread to the inside trust me the sun becomes your enemy!I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D
Trying to find a work life balance...:rotfl:0 -
I have used Once from Boots but to be honest it flakes off after a while. The spray one is slightly orange... It's also not waterproof (only 40 minutes water resistant) then it flakes/peels off in the water.
Personally I use factor 50 (30 minimum) and just reapply as needed. I use a separate face SPF as I have sensitive skin.0 -
We tried the Piz Buin 1 Day Long creams last year (Malta in July) for the first time http://www.boots.com/en/Piz-Buin-One-Day-Long-Lotion-SPF15-with-heliplex-200ml_23476/ and were really impressed that it worked so well. Applied in the room before we went out, were in and out of the pool and sea all day and it did indeed work all day long: neither of us got even a hint of sunburn (usually we end up forgetting to re-apply throughout the day and end up catching the sun at some point
). I won't be using anything else this year.
Comes in factor 15 and 30 and whilst its not cheap I think its totally worth it. Was half price in Boots a couple of weeks ago - think it still might be on offer.0 -
Asda suncreams come out highly rated against the big brands and are well priced to. I have used them and they are just as good.0
