Sounds very promising. I can't see why they would waste resources doing a PLI if they weren't intending o make an offer. :D

    Good luck hunny!

have had a few develpments. still nothing confirmed or denied but they did their inspection and asked me to 'change the light, change the toilet seat and bath panel/

i asked if i did all these, would it mean an offer but they still wont say for definite.

it looks hopeful though doesnt it

I live in HA flat and the rent (including all the service charges) is higher than a lot of private rents in Southampton. I could actually get a bigger flat for the same money but at 63yrs old I like the security of tenure. Basically just saying that social housing is not always cheap in comparison with private renting.

Fair enough, this is unusual, but I will amend: MOST social housing is considerably cheaper than private renting. Plus you do have security of tenure - pity the poor people who have to move frequently.

That's great. I'm genuinely pleased for you. I got a newly built house with a Housing Association some years ago. We were so excited and it was wonderful to have everything new. Now I've moved and am waiting for this place to be fully refurbished and it will be just as good.

Good luck to you in your new home.
