Best international plan?

Hi,

my father-in-law needs a new iphone as his has just broke. He lives in france a lot of the year so wants to keep his UK based number meaning he'll need a UK plan.

T-Mobile will give him something for £48 a month for 24 months including a new iPhone but does anyone know of any better deals?

He can pay for the iphone upfront that's not a problem, he just needs to have international minutes and texts with a little bit of data in his plan.

I reckon he'll need max 200 minutes/texts per month and 500mb data per month.

Any advice would be great! Thanks

The best option would be Toggle Mobile on a prepaid basis. Outgoing calls are 3p/min from the UK or France. Incoming calls are free in both countries. He can also have both a UK and French mobile number simultaneously on the same SIM card. They have UK data for £5/500MB/month, but it's 15p/MB in France.

I can't see it on their site, do you know what network they run on in the UK?

EE offer a roaming plan on 24mths for £5 more than a normal plan. means you get to make and receive unlimited calls or texts in most of Europe and other places like America, India, Russia and Australia
