Parking Charge Notice at Welcome Break Oxford.

Hi there ,
We have received a PCN from Parking Eye while over staying at Welcome Break Oxford services.
We were in a group of 5 families and around 10 kids. we ate at KFC and decided to spend some time there since we all were tired as we had been to midlands early morning and returning back in the evening to london and took the break at oxford services.
We stayed in the car park for 2hr 33 min and not got the notice for overstaying by 33min.
I feel this ridiculous to pay 60pound in 2 week or pay 100 later. we actually spend already similar amounts on food while we were there and do not understand the point to pay the car park further. None of us had seen the signs while entering the park.
Any advice please. the last date to pay is 17th of the month.
thanks

I would advise appealing it these days, since although it has no real status, Parking Eye have started to scare a few people these days with rare small claims that the person then has to defend.
Better to get it cancelled by winning an appeal. We can help.
Start by appealing to Parking Eye with copies of all the receipts you and your group can put together to show that you spent money in the Welcome Break in a group. Also say that you did not see any signs, do not accept their charge at all and want a POPLA appeal code if they should reject.
PE sometimes cancel fake PCNs when they see receipts. So try, or just state how much you all spent, if it was cash and you kept no receipts.
If not then we can help you win at POLA instead (the independent appeals stage), see the decisions going our way now, as shown in the top thread on the forum (two wins just posted there in 'POPLA decisions').PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
