I'm a qualified electrical/electronic engineer and I've never broken a plug in the 30+ years since qualifying.
You don't have to be qualified to break one. Anyone can do that.
The construction of the plug or adaptor isn't the issue. What was being discussed was the fact that block adaptors are strongly advised against, in favour of the strip type.0 -

Except where this whole thing started was when I said that daisy chaining strips together was safe, people invented non-explanations for the alleged danger of those, too.0 -

But I didn't argue with that. I just repeated the advice given by many organisations that advises against adaptor blocks0 -
