Got my mbna ppi cheque today so I put that in the bank. Will be putting the money towards catalogue debt when it clears on Friday.
Been there, done that and Ebay'd the t shirt.
  • Perni I know what you mean re the amount of foods, but she didn't look malnourished on itv. I guess she could afford to plump up a bit more. More than anything I found her totally inspiring how she took a difficult situation and made the best of it.

    My dinner was delish.
2 small chicken breasts £1.60 (out of a pack)
    1/2 an onion 12p
    Pinch of garlic powder 2p
Teaspoon olive oil (free gift from colleague when I left work)
    2 must-be-used sweet potatoes (out of a 69p aldi special of 5) 28p
Leftover courgette, mushroom, pepper and Tom on skewers since BBQ 15pish
Parsley, thyme off of herbs in garden
    1 stock cube 10p
100ml wine (from bottle left from dinner party - free to us but estimated 67p)
    2 tablespoons double cream 11p
Handful of frozen runner beans gosh 4p I guess
    3 tablespoons sweet corn 2p

From this I made 4 portions, and served with rice, and cauliflower

Ok so I work that out to be £3.11, meaning it is roughly 78p a portion. With rice and cauliflower I reckon that mean cost us 90p a serving and it was blooming marvellous. Try it!
