Morning all,
halight hope you get your date this week, I have my fingers crossed as well.
I tell my husband I love him every day, because I do. He is the very best person I know, far too good for me:D
Hope those at work have a good day today.
It's very overcast here as well. TTFTM I know what you mean about eBay. I've had too many people lately claiming things have not arrived.
AF is visiting, can't believe it after two months of nothing, thought it couldn't be that easy, who would be a woman, boys close your ears.
So a restful day, maybe a warm bath. Plan to do meatballs with sausage and pork mince tonight, will make a sauce and serve with rice and garlic bread. I'm also going to make a Danish apple cake for dessert. I've also been looking at peanut butter cookies since halight set me off reading my cookery books, no good for my diet but delish.
Spoke to each of my older kids individually yesterday. My son in Australia is sounding a touch better after their sad loss and they find out on Wednesday if they are having a boy or a girl:T also he has booked a weekend away to Margaret River as he and his wife didn't have a honeymoon with her dad passing so suddenly.
My daughter was busy with her little one as he had a party for 17 of his friends. He's been thoroughly spoilt, she is in the process of trying to organise all his gifts and give his old toys to the charity shop.
My middle boy is very loved up and was out with his gf at a party on Saturday, he will probably call home tonight.
My youngest is enjoying 6th form. Seems to be very focused now he has a career in mind(wants to be a paramedic) but still struggling to find a part time job.
Well I've done enough waffling, have a good Monday, I'm off to do women's work:pStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.0 -
Good morning.
We had a nice lunch yesterday when our friends came to visit. They live in Berkshire and we are in Kent, so we see them about 3 - 4 times a year so it was good to catch up.
Shortly I'll be off to the post office with the weekends eBay parcels.
TTFTM said eBay is taking over her life. Same here, although with me it's a hobby as much as anything else, so it's all good. I'm not working at all this week, so I plan to do some more photography for things I want to sell, including some trousers from OH that no longer fit him and also the rest of my postcard collection that I amassed in the 70's. then I'm going to type up a load of descriptions in Word, so, when it's time to list, I can copy and paste to save time. Always looking for ways to be efficient in eBay!
On top of that I want to search, watch and bid on things that I want to buy.
So, yes, eBay has taken over my life!
This morning I will be doing my normal housework. I'd like to do some washing, but I'm not sure if it'll rain or not. I want to try and avoid using the tumble dryer, and it'll get in the way if I try to dry it indoors. The weather for the rest of the week isn't promising either.
Dinner tonight will be chicken curry.
Anyway, better get on with it all.

Morning all!
halight hubby and I tell each other all the time. We are one of those sickening couples I'm afraid. We both had horrid relationships before and both went into this relationship being brutally honest and upfront. It's made us into a very strong couple!
Today I'm going to spend 4 hours working on a hospital ward. I haven't been on a ward since 1999 so this should be interesting. Hopefully they'll show me what to do. Things have changed so much.
DS1 has a GCSE resist today. He got an A last time, but that wasn't good enough apparently so he's trying again. He's so laid back about things though. He's not even 15 years old yet!
Chili and rice for dinner tonight. I bought dried kidney beans for the first time ever on Friday. I've already prepped those (did the whole bag and froze them).
Did anyone watch Mr Wicher last night? Was it just the dialogue that made the acting look so bad? Paddy Considine and Olivia Colman are brilliant actors but it was terrible. I thought the lad with Downs Syndrome was great though. He was on that Channel 4 dating programme a while ago.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Good morning everyone...
Halight..l tell my hubby l love him everyday..he makes my heart melt by kissing the top of my head( he loves my long hair) then my hand before we go to sleep, its so romantic.
Bad painful night, legs hurt so much even with my usual painkillers. Will take nap after lunch.
Lovely morning here, sun out but nice washing day wind blowing(till this afternoon) so hubby helped me wash bedquilt & out on line.
Last day of the 5 day diet, then straight into Ration book diet. Will put £35 into holiday fund every week by going completely dedicated O/S for next 4 months. so pen & paper now ready to do search on MSE for more ideas, recipes etc. Will not buy anymore alco, sweets, crisps and general junk food as l had been doing before.
Ration book diet is only 3 cups tea a day( lm used to load more) and far less meat, sugar & fat that l usually buy. From now onIts loads of fruit and veg/salad, so when things get growing in garden will be a huge saving. From now on we are going to eat seasonal produce.
Its Kitchen cleaning day, hubby took nets down for me & now in wash,After oven clean will declutter baking cupboard, rest then do Tesco order.
Afternoon is nap for hr then 30min exercise, its good one as designed for people in wheelchairs(then pay myself & into hol fund) Then in greenhouse for hr(if raining) to sort seedling out.If dry will plant few runner beans, will only plant a few as cant stand for too long.
Tonight will watch disc from my Midsomer Murder boxset while doing the crochet baby blanket.l can never find much on TV to watch nowadays unless its a period drama.Modern TV thrillers are so gruesome & give me nightmares.
If anyone sad/in pain today, im sending you hugs. Be determinded to stay focused & tomorrow will get better. x0 -
Morning All, hope everyone feels fine today.
Doing the last of the packing today, off to Crete at 4am tomorrow for two weeks all inclusive holiday :j :j
Hopefully the heat and the relaxation will complete the healing process for the Mrs (recovering from gallbladder removal).
I certainly intend to chill around the pool topless, have a few  and generally just wind down completely.
May get an odd chance to look in, but if not please behave yourselves in my absence! :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Weather has turned cool and rain lashing at windows. DH has taken in the washing from the line outside.
DD has gone to dentist, other dd is at work and dd who is home from uni has not surfaced yet. Managed to sort out sick note and urgent prescription for poorly dd over the phone so having a cuppa and surfing on here.
Hospital appointment for dd this afternoon so not sure what to make for tonight. Lunch will be a la leftovers and a bit of a pick and mix. Made savoury bulgar wheat with chicken pieces for dd's lunch for work and have some left over and fridge is full of various bowls and plates of food that need using up.
Recently started using the dining room to eat main meals and it is much more civilised and relaxing so will make an effort to keep doing that. Kitchen chairs are needing replaced and once that is done it will be more comfortable to eat there as well as the current chairs are wicker style and rip dd's tights!!
Hugs to all who could do with one and have a good day."This site is addictive!"

Hi Guys!
Have had a rough few days, but still breathing, so I'm okay:D
DD has asked me to help with all her Uni stuff, so that has been keeping me busy:eek::eek::eek: She applied and was accepted for the Co-Op Student Account which Martin suggests is one of the best ones, so just waiting on the paperwork for that. She has her funding agreed, her housing all signed and we have had to guarantor:eek::eek::eek: and at £195 a week, it will be the first thing she pays as we're not getting stuck with that! We have a Uni box together and she has so much stuff already. Although I'm so gutted she's going, it's time for her to spread her wings and move onto her next step in life, wherever that takes her:j:j:j:j It's so hard being positive, when you see your baby clearing through stuff, selling stuff that she's had for years, but I have to pull myself together and keep going. I always cry away from her, or on a few occasions, I've just started blubbing, espeicially when she says things like, I'm gonna miss the way you do this, or when we watch this together and miss the smell of my perfume etc....then I'm off in a blubbering mess:o
Anyway, today the WM, DW has been unloaded and DD has put on the line as dry and blowy here. She's also done all downstairs as she says she has to get used to it for when she gets her flat share. Its not a flat share as such...she has her own room with ensuite and there are 3 others and they share a huge kitchen, but yes, I agree, she has to pull her weight!
OH has been into town and been to the PO as I sold quite a bit over the weekend and he had a few jobs to drop off. He was up at 5 this morning:eek::eek::eek: Nurses here at 7, so he made them a cuppa whilst they were helping me. He also went and checked on our ISA's and what interest we got and also how we go about drawing a large'sh amount of money if needed as we're thinking of a nice holiday later this year for our 20th anniversary once DD is settled in at Uni, but might have to pay for a carer to come too, so we're still thinking. He also bought some mildew and descalent spray for the shower and taps as its quite bad here. The mildew isn't bad but there are some black marks around some of the windows, so guessing it is? It was only £1 each, so not bad value and a 750ml bottle on both.
OH also has done most of the back garden and looks beautiful. We still need to order the slabs which I have the cash here for and been good and not spent it:p Its really looking nice, so I can sit out there once weather improves. He's put hand rails around the side of the house, so it makes it easier for me. He has also done a makeshift ramp for my wheelchair as the council have said I don't need to get in the back garden...WTH???....and they won't help with the front level access to the front of the house either. I don't understand their logic? I would of thought that me getting outside into my pretty garden would be a positive thing, but apparently not! To get out the front, I have a large step which OH has to help with. The council did the step, but its still quite a drop when you're in major pain and your spine/hips are crumbling! I don't know what to do, but at least I can see my pretty garden from my bedroom window:D
I have another DEXA scan this month and more infusions and bone injections in 2 weeks which really hurt, but will take some extra valium, so I go to my happy place and don't care what they do to me:D Also, been referred to a new neuro for extra input as they are running out of options and tests I presume. He's a professor, so hoping he'll either know what to do or give me a lead injection;)
Anyway, Im gonna say goodbye and hope you're all ok as I'm rambling too much!!
Lunch today is a pitta with grated cheddar, mixed salad and some salad cream and bag of crisps with a nectarine as a pudding. Dinner is HM sausage casserole DD made last week and froze with a baked spud, so nice and easy, but very tasty.

Hi all,
Got up feeling fine, not now though.:( Had yet ANOTHER letter from Social Services finances, saying basically I've lied to them, and Dad will have to self fund till November. I haven't got enough money to pay what he owes, let alone any more. DD has been on to them fuming about it. I feel like taking his bank detials, cards and chque book to their offices and telling them to deal with it. They can go shopping for him and buy his stuff that he needs, and pay all his insurance bills and newspaper subs, I've had enough. I am worried that they will try and make me pay, or take me to court, I can't deal with that. Sitting here with tears running down my face at the moment.
Had a good morning too. Went out to Bexhill and got two lovely twin sets in the local animal charity shop. They were on a bogof, so they only cost me £3.95 for the two.
Halight I tell my other half all the time I love him, as he does me. You never know what may happen.
Got to go now, I'm afraid.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Afternoon all!
Have been to 2 different shopping centres on the hunt for flip flops for DS, finally got some that weren't too dear! Have a double batch of stew in the SC, steak and sausage pie tonight and leftovers for the freezer. Brother has hurt his back somehow and was up all night, had to do an early mercy visit with some painkillers this morning. Treated myself to les mis dvd so will watch that whilst tackling the ironing, since all I did yesterday was the holiday clothes.RIP Iain
