I use my BlackBerry in exactly the way that balletshoes has described. Money saving at it's best.
Pointless for you because 'you have no idea'.
What phone and package would you recommend then?
Because on a standard tariff you pay £5pm extra on top of the standard price. In the OP's case she will have to pay £5pm for the next 12 months at least. So what if you pay £20 every 6 months. It's different for everyone. People need unlimited minutes on their blackberry or need just 50 minutes on their blackberry so the tariff cost will vary for everyone. It's not as black and white as £20 will suit everyone. Same on an android phone or iPhone. And besides, the £20 unlimited booster you pay for has a fair use of 500mb per month. On a blackberry it's hard to use that much but it can be done.
I don't know why you're making a big deal out of this. All i'm saying is that a 12 year old kid and a blackberry don't really go together. It's just peer pressure etc...0
