I've never been able to work out why it is that councils do collections with half the frequency and sell recyclables and charge us the same or more for the privilege. Am I being a bit dim?

My employer wrote off the money I would owe them if I didn't return to work after maternity leave, freeing me up to resign and look for something with more suitable hours and without having to return my additional maternity pay
