I usually get mine off eBay. I think the official ones for my printer are about £15, but they're less than £1 each. I've never had a problem with cheap compatible cartridges (although the colours aren't as "good", but I don't print photos - just text).
I had problems with clogged nozzles on the last two Epsons I've had. I probably used the majority of ink running the cleaning process repeatedly.
The Canon I bought since has been much better. I've only had to run the cleaning routine a few times despite printing less frequently than with the Epson...0 -
On Amazon as well, though watch for high delivery charges

When you removed the tapes, did they come away cleanly, leaving an air vent underneath?
After a head clean, was the nozzle check blank?0 -
When I removed the tapes they did leave tiny amounts of plastic on but when I checked the ink levels all cartridges were showing as full .After the head clean at first the nozzel check printed very fine pattern but when I tried to Print the paper was blank. someone told me try pulling off the strip at the top of the cartridge too but I didn't because I always thought the top paper stays on & its just the lower tapes you remove??0

The usually yellow tabs are removed, so it seems you removed those correctly.

Lower tapes? The clear tape over the ink outlet stays as it is pierced when the cartridge is loaded in to the printer.0 -
yes I had removed the correct tabs thank you . I will just have to try a new supplier for the ink or just pay for the genuine ones just wish they were not so expensive0

I would go with compatibles, and if you get them from amazon or ebay you should be able to return any that don't work.
Hopefully, you were just unlucky with this set
Never had a problem with inks from here, though the delivery is steep for one set

Most likely reason you're not getting ink onto the paper is that the ink in your print head has solidified and may also be solidified in the tubes that feed the head.
Usual reason for this is leaving the printer switched on for long periods without doing any printing or because you switch the printer off by killing the mains at the wall socket and not by using the off-switch on the machine.
If you switch off on the machine itself, the printer goes through a closedown routine that parks the head and seals the ink flow from drying out in the open atmosphere.
You need to keep trying the clean routines until the ink flows again and then make sure the print head does not dry out. Don't leave the printer switched on and idle for long periods and always use the switch on the printer to close it down. If you don't use the printer for a couple of weeks or so, just run a test page print, to keep the ink flowing.
If your system is clogged solidly, you need to introduce a little isopropyl alcohol into the system to dissolve the clots. I'm not familiar with your model but usually the place to drop it into is the area below where the print head parks when the printer closes down properly.0 -
Yes that's true because I had bought compatibles before for this printer and they worked fine . guess was just a dodgy batch to be fair the company sent replacements they still did not work so they refunded my money0

I Never leave my Printer on or simply just turn it off by the Mains I usually Print off what I need then turn my Printer off correctly .I don't even leave my PC on standby let alone leave my printer on unused0

When you cleaned the print head did you get it to print a nozzle pattern check?
Our epson stopped working recently, took several cleaning and print check attempts to get it printing properly again.(it would print the test but not anything else)
Should print the pattern with no gaps on any colour, have you changed all the cartridges?0
