I went to phones for you in store to upgrade my phone with vodafone a few days ago. He went through all the details with me and I signed the contract for him to send to vodafone. Vodafone were having issues with their system and I was in a rush to get back home so he gave me the iPhone 5 and my contract and he said he will carry on putting it through for me? All he told me to do was to go onto the vodafone website when I get home to activiate my new sim (as I wanted to keep my old number).

It's now been 3 days and my new contract with my extra mins and Internet haven't been updated so I went into vodafone where I live the man told me they have no record of my upgrade being placed? It still says on their system I'm due for a upgrade?!

So what I want to know is:
do I contact phones for u and tell them?! They have potentially just let me walk out with a brand new iPhone 5 with no new contract?!

Did you not get any paperwork with the phone?

Go back to the phones 4 u store and ask them to sort it out. The new sim is because the iPhone 5 takes a different sim to the one in your current phone. So they have to give you a new one for the phone to work.

What the guy did in the Phones 4 U store could get him sacked. He's not supposed to let the customer leave before he completes the contract/get's you to sign for everything.

No point doing a runner because they'll block the phone when they do a stock check.
  • Yeh I noticed now the sim is different size!

I did recieve the paperwork of the contract that I have signed, they havnt sent that contract through to vodafone, according to vodafone they should have this on there system and I can upgrade again if I wanted to?

So you signed everything. Ok. Then go back to phones 4u. No point leaving it because P4U have proof of a signed contract.

Trust me, it'll be a hassle if you try and upgrade again through vodafone.
