Nationwide ISA account numbers?

Options
Trying to transfer my Nationwide cash ISA to a Hargreaves Lansdown Stocks and Shares ISA but am stuck when it asks for the account number. The account number on my Nationwide ISA is of the format xxxx/xxxxxxxxx and Hargreaves Lansdown is asking for a conventional sort code and account number xxxxxx/xxxxxxxx. Any ideas?.
Also is it wise to have all of my isa in a stocks and shares isa.
Will be around £76000, currently £24000 in the stocks and shares and trying to transfer £52000 from my Nationwide cash isa.

    Why not ask HL ?

Is it wise? Depends if you have a cash fund outside this isa for emergencies. Also once transferred to s&s if you change your mind later you won't be able to transfer back to a cash isa.

On the paper forms there are 3 boxes

    Sort code
    Account number
Roll number or Building Society ref.

Put your Nationwide number in the last box. Leave the others blank. If it doesn't like that, fill in all-zeroes or all-ones or all-nines or something, any old junk to keep it happy.

    Any help?

    http://www.nationwide.co.uk/isas/isa-top-up/default.htm

Click on Set up standing order, then
sort code and account number information

    This gives for ISAs

    070093
    33333334

You also need to give your account number with the / in the reference field on the form

The page that you have linked to is for paying money into an ISA, not for withdrawing.

You can leave the sort code and account number boxes on the form blank, just put the xxxx/xxxxxxxx number into the 'reference' box.

From my experience It is incorrect to leave the boxes blank. I transferred my nationwide isa using as david78 says. Worked fine.

You could write absolutely anything in the boxes and it would still transfer fine - they are ignored and completely irrelevant.
