0800 numbers
Moved from giffgaff to 3 and one thing I miss from giffgaff is being able to call 0800 numbers without eating minutes. I placed a cap on my 3 account so I don't go over my minutes allowance and can't make calls to 0845 numbers but it seems they even put a cap on 0800 numbers so my calls won't connect. I thought they would exclude 0800 numbers.

Use 0800 buster or saynoto0870 to find an alternative number to the 0800 one. Wont cost you a penny

I tried Asda today but their numbers are all 0800 which I used to love when on giffgaff but my 3 phone wouldn't let me call and saynoto0870 had no alternative. Will try the buster.

As 0800 are also chargeable it's understandable that would also need to be included in your barring, otherwise any calls to 0800 would make you go over your allowance.I tried Asda today but their numbers are all 0800 which I used to love when on giffgaff but my 3 phone wouldn't let me call and saynoto0870 had no alternative. If you have data, download and use Skype for 0800 calls.====0 -
Try we q 4 u too. This little app has saved me a fortune over the past few months when I've needed to dial 0870/0845/0800 numbers.0

I don' know why but I thought 0800 were freephone numbers so mobile operators took it from minutes and didn't charge extra like 0845 numbers. I thought that was why giffgaff allowed us to call 0800 numbers for free without using minutes either.Cup of Tea? :coffee:0 -
Use 01173 950800.
Dial this from your mobile, call will be counted in your minutes allowance, but not charged as an 0800 number.
I use it frequently when I have to call National Grid from a customers home where they have no landline.0 -
Or you could look at www.saynoto0870.com where
Alternatives are listed for 0500, 0800,0808, free phone numbers amongst others.0 -
