Sorry if I'm totally thick but is there any companies who provide Internet but don't have to have a landline ?
I never use the landline and seems just a waste of £15.75 a month!!
Please help x

If you want it for just one computer then get a data stick, I used a pay and go Tmobile for the time I was closed the last supplier to the new one.
They do contract or pay and go, Vodafone and o2 all do mobile broadband. Without sounding daft you'd only be able to use one computer at the time xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi no it's for the smart tv and wireless in the house
I just hate paying for something I am not using at all!
Thanks though xx:j I'm getting married on 22nd Febuary 2015 :j0 -
Without using wireless just like mentioned above how can the Internet get to you? It comes down some form of cable. Either through a BT phone line for ADSL or Fibre. Or using Virgin. Virgin do offer just an Internet package without phone line.
Plusnet uses BT phone lines. If you pay a yearly line rental it works out as just over £10 a month instead of £15.
Sounds like you want to use a smart tv I assume for streaming video off the Internet? Dont get the cheapest broadband package if you are, video uses a lot of data and you will need a broadband package to match. In this case you will have to spend a decent amount of money.0 -

Well all companies except Virgin use telephone lines to provide broadband so you need a line with them.
As Virgin uses a cable connection it plugs straight into your modem with a coax cable that is screwed into a box in your wall, which means no phone line.
I'm pretty sure you can still get it like that. My parents-in-law have Virgin broadband. They don't even have a home phone number and quite rightly so in this day and age.

Yet VM rig the pricing, so the saving for not taking the phone service is minimal. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
