If you go into Settings - More Settings - Mobile Networks - Access Point Names, what does it say on the screen?

If the 3G signal is weak in your area, then nothing Vodafone can do will sort it out.

What do you see above the signal bar - 3G, H+ or E? Or nothing at all?

I thought if they had no signal they would probably have complained about that too. They also claim to get NO Internet access anywhere, other than via wifi, the odds of that happening in any urban area is pretty remote.

No mobile data internet suggests mobile data turned off .
I would use a network check app on the phone like
    Signal Measurement
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adcall.SignalMeasurement#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmFkY2FsbC5TaWduYWxNZWFzdXJlbWVudCJd
and also test it in a known strong signal location found from the network maps .

I would also test another network via a borrowed sim .

    Hi moejo55,

Thanks for making me aware of this.

For further help with network relates issues I'd recommend following the troubleshooting steps in the Network Issues thread on our eForum.

Although I can't provide you with a link to it, due to the posting guidelines which company representatives are obliged to follow, you'll find the thread in the Network section.

If you'd like to discuss this further could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?

All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it will take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?

Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So I can make sure I've got it could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?

    Kind regards,

    Lee
