Robbie Williams - Inner Sanctum Subscriptions Rip-Off

When I got my bank statement through this month I noticed that £25 had been paid to https://www.Robbiewilliams.com. About fifteen months ago I paid to join The Inner Sanctum for Robbie Williams which enabled me to purchase Robbie Williams tickets in advance of normal sales. I am not a fan (The tickets were for my daughter and we eventually got a refund for them because the Wembley venue was moved to Milton Keynes because the Wembley Stadium was not ready). I do not wish to use this account again.
Apparently they send you an email warning you that they are about to take your subscription but I just delete any emails which I think are junk and this is what I did with this email as it did not highlight its purpose ie Subscription Renewal.
Inner Sanctum just take the payment from the card details you have given when you registered. They will not refund the payment.
I have phoned their customer services on 08700428570 and cancelled my membership but unless you do this you will be charged £25 every year. You cannot cancel this through your bank.I am furious that they can take my money like this.
There are thousands of people who are being ripped off by The Inner Sanctum. Please check your bank statements.

Just to let you know they do not send an email telling you that they are going to take the money. I along with a large number of people cancelled this a long time ago due to their lack of customer service when it came to the tickets etc. I had to change my debit card during the year when it was swallowed. This proved to be luckly as a couple of weeks ago I got an email stating that they had been unable to take the money from me. This was despite them having previosly acknowled that I had cancelled. there was no email stating that there were going to attempt to take the money.
I'm sure other people will confirm this. Do a charge back on the card.0 -
I had an email telling me they had a continual payment authority but for some reason they couldn't get the money so I got another email asking for other card details - which I ignored. It isn't worth £25 for what you get, I only set it up to get early release concert tickets. Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0

At the risk of making myself unpopular...
It says quite clearly that once you have joined it is an automatic subscription and they will take £25 out of your account for every years membership,
so i doubt very much you will get your money back
I remembered that i joined in about May last year (advanced tickets again!) so i emailed to cancel last month and got an email back almost straight away saying it had been done,
i know you dont want to hear this, but its not the fan clubs fault that you dont read the T&C's or the small print0 -
Perhaps it would be better for them to send us a proper letter rather than an email.
I was told I will not get a refund and that I should have cancelled my subscription before payment had been taken out. I have now cancelled my subscription by phoning Customer Services on 08700428570. Please tell all your friends to check their bank statements. I have also put a video blog on youtube to warn people and that has had about 60 hits already!
Can you imagine how much money they are making at £25 a time?We are supposed to get a free gift for our money. Apparently it is a DVD about Robbie Williams. I would rather have my £25 back please.0 -

I did cancel and they still tried to take money from me. It was only the fact that the card had changed stopped them from doing it0 -
well, i guess with all the thousands of members they have added to the fact that they mostly employ semi literate monkeys in the customer services department im guessing that a few mistakes are made here and there involving peoples subscription, cases like yours are one thing...and YOU have every right to have amoan about it,
but calling the company a load of rip off merchants because you couldnt be bothered to read the terms and conditions OR the emails is quite different.
i still havent heard a good reason from the OP about why its the fan clubs fault, infact... somebody said as much in the comments on her youtube video and they were obviously a little too close to the bone as i noticed this morning that all the comments have been deleted and posting has been disabled,
nobody likes being caught out and made to feel a bit stupid, but it happens to all of us occasionally,
people can rant all they wish but if they dont have any other answer but to delete opposing comments when given the facts... they must know they are in the wrong.0 -
Almost every time you join a service based on a subscription you'll find that it's automatically renewed at the end of the time unless otherwise specified. It's standard practice as it'd be impracticle to cancel a service at the end of the time limit as 9/10 times the customer will want to keep it on. This will all have been mentioned in the T & C when you took out the subscription so it's unfair to call this a rip off.
Nice touch - disabling comments on your youtube video - is that because they were all negative against you?!0 -
