If anyone tells lies and gets caught out, that makes them stupid.
When my pair tried lying, the first time I caught them out I explained I was always behind them to help them and back them up, but if they were lying there would be no support, and I would side with the person being lied to, and assume my kids were totally in the wrong.
It worked out fine with mine, I wish you luck Flo Flo.
I often have to listen to parents telling me "but they are your children, you must back them up, whatever", sorry no can do, in the end they must do the right thing, I've seen too many kids screw up with full parental support, be it money, relationships, careers, they must make their own decisions.
I agree, she must also think we are as thick as 2 short planks to tell lies that are so easy to find out. She still believes I phoned the school and that she will have to speak to her year head about what she said about the teacher. If I had phoned the school before realising what she was up to she would be in worse trouble with me and the school but thankfully I have a good sense of my daughter good and bad bits.
She is on charm offensive now, if she was as polite and cheerful as this even some of the time normally it would be lovely but this is definitely her trying to get the grounding lifted as she wants a friend over.
I know she could be worse, I see worse behaviour everyday but I don't want her to go that way.0 -

So how does DTD work? You pay the non-offer price by picking up a mislabelled item then.....go to customer services to get a refund?
Not something I've done before.
Yep, don't say anything at till, pay and then go to customer services, if there are 2 of you I always make hubby go back to the shelf ticket and wait so that when they come he can show it to them (so they can't remove it) or if its just me I always 'offer to help' and go with them to check the price. If you aren't offered DTD just say 'Isn't it dtd if you are overcharged?' Most will give dtd without too much of a fight.
Beware it's addictive.0 -

Rant alert :mad::mad:
Is anyone else plagued with dodgy people constantly looking for scrap metal where they live. We are here, they are always knocking on asking if this, that it whatever else is scrap. We took a metal climbing frame down last week because the kids are too old for it now. It was old but cost about £400 when I bought it a few years back. It was outside the garage and plan was I was going to recycle it in to frames with nets to cover cabbages and broccoli.
On Wednesday these scrappy people knocked and asked if I wanted them to kindly get rid of it for me. I told them it wasn't scrap, no thank you. Well they've obviously thought otherwise and decided they were having it anyway :mad::mad::mad: we just got back from taking the dog for a walk and it's all gone. Along with 2 big aluminium planters that had plants in them. Oh Im so mad....my OH said not to bother ringing the police, but I have. I know it's probably been weighed in by now and I'll never see it again, but it's not the point. Police will be round later sometime. Theiving rat bags :mad::mad:0
