    Beautiful sunny day in Durham, listening to some of last nights songs and dancing around the kitchen:)

    But need to get on with RL today. Borders to weed, seeds to seed, people to feed, shopping I need.......

    Morning all. Wow, the sun is out. Make the most of it, it's probably going to chuck it down this afternoon! It normally does.

    May I just ask about the £50 Tosco gift card promotion. If I were to buy 4 £50 gift cards and did them all separately, would I get 4 x 150 points? Anyone know?

    Have a charming day all.

    PS. Don't forget, if you spend more than £15 at Boots, it's 10 points per pound, so technically a 10 per cent discount. Perfect time to buy if you have presents etc you may need in the near future.

    Presents? - pay for? - More than 1p? No glitch? - £15:eek::eek:

    Sarah I'm sorry to hear about your cat, it's really heartbreaking.

    Thankyou, it is heartbreaking, the youngest, is just gutted, keeps crying, which keeps starting me off again, cldnt drive to Wales last night, as I would have had an accident, so will be going later this afternoon. DS keeps asking hundreds of questions, I just hope I am giving him the right ones, and trying to ease the pain he feels. We buried him in the garden last night, and he stroked him and said goodbye, it was truly heartbreaking. Now all the neighbours, keep popping in to say how sorry they are, as Harry was such a lovely cat, and everyone loved him, which just make it harder.

    Sorry to go on. :( (crying again now) :(

In my opinion parents can be a little cautious in letting their children do this. I am a parent of 3 albeit grown up kids but I encouraged them to be independant and trustworthy.

    FloFlo I do not think you are overreacting at all! One thing I hate is lieing and I always say if you can easily lie about little things you can lie about big things! Best to try and nip it in the bud now! x

    FloFlo....I wouldn't worry too much. I got into my fair share of scrapes when I was a teen (in my late 20s now) and constantly lied to my parents. You just grow up and grow out of it. The only lies I tell now are little white ones so they don't worry too much! :)

    She does have independence, but when she is told explicity no as I had things to do and then lies through her teeth to get her own way and blames other people - in a way that could get them into trouble then she has to face the consequences. She is also not a teenager yet, only 12.

    I was a teenager in the 80s in London and from about 14/15 went out and about with friends, during the day, all over London. But my mum knew who I was with and had agreed beforehand - big difference.

    Very rare for the SA to check the names on vouchers, I have never ever had that happen. Just hand over the clubcard at the start and put it away and then the vouchers at the end.

    Or use your keyring card, no name on that. ;)
