Is this true? That they try and keep new mums in hospital for a week?? In my day if everything had gone to plan and you had been seen by the paeodetrition however you spell him then you were out if the door ASAP
My middle one was nearly born in the car park, delivered within 30 mins of being admitted. I was totally desperate to get home but had to wait until the afternoon before we could go home as it was a Sunday. By which time son had contacted a skin rash which the doctor at home said had def been contacted in the few short hours we had been in the hospital.
I was pregnant with my DD in 2010. She is my first but because my pregnancy was low-risk they recommended a home birth which I wasn't keen on but low and behold, DD was born quickly (4 1/2 hour labour :D) on our bed at homeI had 1 midwife as my waters broke at 01:50am and she was gone by 8am  Was so glad to be at home, next one will definately be a home birth

Can't see that flogging a dead horse helps much, unless you haven't read the thread I guess.
I have been given some good advice and thought we had moved on but I guess some people just want to find something/ someone new to blame or moan at when bad things are happening.
No I have not read the thread since last night, as I said.
Just plain offensive.

squilliondollarbaby my mother died. We tried to convince her to stay with us, but as you said in your post, in your offensive post, she decided that she wanted to go. In my opinion she didn't give up, she made a conscious decision, and we have to live with that. You got some criticism and you now appear to be throwing your toys out of the pram and marching off. Yes, you are in a !!!!!! situation, a lot of us have been there. I'm in a glass house throwing stones, because I've upset inadvertently upset someone on this thread. I stepped out of the conversation and didn't make excuses, or attempt to justify my error in judgement. Surely, you must realise that you've upset a lot of people, and that gallows humour is no excuse.
I agree & that's why I have exiled myself for a year. Sorry to have caused any upset.0 -

Afternoon the sun keeps dipping in and out and cant make its mind up but at least it is not raining :)I was on a charity shop run with a friend and did a little grin
to myself there in all their glory lined up were the 4p wellies that were in T's a while back with a price tag of £2-75:eek:so that is where they all disappear to.But on reflection the charities concerned are benefiting:Tso that can only be a good thing but not for us elite

If you feel the need to go, then fair enough, but I don't see the need as you've apologised, and I hope deleted the posts that people have found to be offensive
