I just bought two Dr O pizzas, handed over my coupons and after examining them both in great detail the SA scanned the same one twice. I explained why she shouldn't but she refused to take one off and scan the other saying that they are both identical as the numbers under the large barcode are the same. GRRRR!

Don't worry PP she was correct the system will not know any different ;)

Can I have a round of applause please. I finally passed level 163 on candy crush this evening. I've been stuck on it for 3 sodding weeks. :j:rotfl:
:T Congratulations! I've pretty much given up :rotfl:

I thought I'd finished; reached level 335 on my ipad and that was it. No fanfare, nothing.

Then went on FB and there are another 3 episodes!
Good advice, I will take it on board and adapt my behaviour accordingly. Apologies to 3Dogs and any other I may have unwittingly offended/ upset as that was not my intention at all. For example, I would never really have understood what FloFlo just said to me without somebody telling me (there's a fair bit of Savs in there no doubt :D).

Anyway, just remembering my convo with my wife last night, she was talking about how her ma was effectively refusing all food, just saying she wasn't hungry. And how small her ma looked etc. Sounded to me as if MIL is weary of life but maybe she'll pick up in the next few days. Hopefully the promise of seeing her grandkids next week will be a (big) pleasant thing to look forward to.

Think we need to remember that actions speak as loud as words. Squills has taken 3 kiddies on a plane to visit granny. Ok we can joke that it is a good excuse for a holiday. But Squills is "over there" with a DW at home that also needs some support in this. Difficult balancing act. Looking after 3 kids on your own and shlepping them to visit a relative who hasn't got that much of a relationship with them (through distance or whatever reason) is not that easy.

Squills, any way of video- skyping/ facetiming from MIL to DW while you are there?

Completely p!ssed off, was told when choosing new car that it had bluetooth, hubby has picked it up and it doesn't. Hubby doesn't see what the fuss is, but I don't like being missold anything. I agreed to dearer model as hubby liked it - even though I am going to be driving it - and I can use the bluetooth with my iphone handsfree when in the car (mainly for music). I know it isn't the main feature to worry about when buying a car but I would hav egone for the basic model, this was the only feature I was excited about. It really burst my bubble.

Oh Flo, don't know much about cars but have they definitely given you the right model. :(

    Morning paw sniffers,
Hope naebbirac posts soon with a lovely sunny view:)

    Just off to read back:)

Hi everyone. Sorry not to have been around, been catching up with old friends, RL busy at the moment. I've had a quick skim at times but never manage to catch up completely with you chatty lot, and being five hours behind doesn't help.
We had a problem with the electrics in the apartment and DH's laptop cable got fried:eek: It's gone for testing to check, and we'll need to replace it, so lappy is unusable as the battery is flat. I use it to post my pics as posting them is so fiddly on the tablet (read that as I haven't worked out how to do it on the tablet:o:o) We should get a call today so if we can replace it we will, and pics service will be resumed asap.
We are having a great time. We went out with a friend on his boat for the day, anchored up in the shallows near one of the little offshore islands and 'limed' for the day, eating bbq chicken, drinking pina coladas, swimming in the beautiful, warm, blue sea, and catching up/reminiscing.
I've been using the bt smart app to talk to my boys at home for free. So nice not to have to worry about huge phone bills.
DH has gone out with the local environmental awareness group this morning, so lots more pics will be taken. He has collected up lots of cameras and binoculars over the last year to donate to the group, as their funds are very limited, and the kit can be used by all those who have an interest, but aren't in a financial position to buy their own.
Anyway, that's it for now. I saw that there are people in need of hugs while skimming, can't remember who exactly, but sending big hugs to all who need. So glad logie had a good scan result, but sorry that she has more decisions to make. Stay strong and positive hun.
I'm missing the glitching, but glad you're all getting some bargains.
Keep your fingers crossed that we can get the lappy back up and working (calling on the power of the elite here;)), so I can post some pics for you all.

I put mine in my mouth, where were you trying to put yours

    :D

    :p
I think they meant the pain killers didn't reach the end destination correctly. If its a headache, I tend to pop the pain killers and then immediately get on bed, and dangle back, giving myself a bit of a jiggle. That way, the pain killers are ensured to reach head.

If its a pain in the foot, I jump up and down afterwards.

They took the mouth entrance :p

They just didnt seem to reach my finger :( I have to keep it elevated but I couldn't get comfy last night and I was getting pain :( I'm told that its a good thing but I'm not a very good patient.

But the good news is that I *think* I'm getting the feeling back where there was none before :j it's hard to tell through the layers of bandage and dressing so I could be wrong
