Afternoon

Ive missed a morning  DS2 was poorly through the night so I got no sleep. He was up from 3 until 8 then I finally got him to go back to sleep and I fell asleep as well. Haven't a clue what's up with him
he's not got a temperature or any other signs of illness, he just couldn't stop being sick. He seems a little better now anyway and I am too after some kip.
Frequent  oh my goodness, Im glad you're ok. Well done to your wife :A
QOC hope your op goes/went ok...can't remember when you were having it done?
Hope everyone else is good. I haven't caught up properly yet0 -

then dd2 problem tax people taking to much tax of her she only earned just under £7000 last tax year but they took £1200 tax seemed really high. she phoned then and was told it was because this was her second job,, no only job she left the other one before starting her new one, had to send p45 and some other bits of get a letter back saying they know its her only job but the tax she paid is right, so i phoned for her and they said if it had been looked into then it is right
am i being stupid or does this look wrong thanks
Did they provide a calculation?
If her tax code has the letters BR in it then they are treating this income as though it is from a second job and taxing it as such.
What % tax has she paid? 20% by any chance?
She would need to earn around £14k to pay tax of around £1200. If she has only earnt £7k then it's a mistake that the IR will need to rectify and refund your DD.0 -
I wonder if anyone can help us out with a Ts query.
My Mum's just had her vouchers come through and there's absolutely no coupons on there (except for the usual 3 you get for the points accrued). she had a few last time but said she didn't really use them (except the double points one). I've received 12 again this time so she was expecting the same (there's none showing when logging in to her account either)
She rang Ts and they said it's up to the marketing department who gets what and that on the next cycle she will get some. She got some extra points as gesture of good will (blah blah blah!) but she really wanted the vouchers
Has anyone else had this happen? Is it because the shopping bill has taken a nosedive because there's been more shopping done in As now so Ts are obviously seeing she's spending less?
I'm wondering if this would trigger a different kind of voucher (like the cond spend ones lots of people get for dormant or under used accounts)?
The account isn't new (it's probably 20 years old) and they've never had this happen before.Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

Afternoon all!
Can I just ask a quick clubcard question - I have received mine now in the post but I didn't get any additional coupons with mine (e.g. 25p off blah blah, 25 extra points if you buy blah blah) yet in the past I always have and I have also seen others mentioning on MSE that they got some this time around. Did anyone else not get any?? Just wondering why I didn't get any and if it is worth a phonecall to them! (I have checked online too - none there)0 -

I actually have £30 in CC vouchers so they can see I am spending0 -

I doubt it. If the shopping bill took a nose dive, I am more than certain they would send more vouchers with better offers to entice you back. Certainly happened to me. I didn't go to T's for 2 months and the vouchers I kept getting were excellent deals.0 -

Oooooh looks like she's not alone!
Be interesting to see what story they give you when you ring them
How many did you get last time? She got 6 and says she probably didn't use them all as it was for stuff she didn't plan on buying. The CC vouchers came in at about £6 i think.Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
