There's an income tax checker under the Income and families tab on here.

Looks to me that she shouldn't have paid anything, but I could be wrong!

It looks really wrong to me as I'm sure that's under or just above the taxable threshold?
Has She or have you checked her tax code is correct?

These are £1 in store at Asda in now and just seen them.

    (Hoops and Crosses)
Well I bought the Prawn Cocktail flavour and they still show n/a against Morries. They are comparing to Sada now but at £1.89!
At least Tosco are acknowledging that Sada sell them now. Perhaps they just need to catch up to the £1 price.
Will try again in a day or two.

Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x

Need a bit of help from you all, DD1s moving date is getting closer. I need to get some packing boxes for her. Any ideas of cheapest decent ones please?

She seems to think she won't need any as she didn't when she went off to uni, just cases and crates. But I have reminded her she didn't take everything then. :o

I won't be making her take absolutley everything that is hers just yet, but I do expect her drawers and wardrobe to be emptied and the crate of shoes and personal shoe rack to be gone. Oh and her Boots (75%) stash too.:rotfl:

This next step in life will have to make me deal with my mum's things a bit quicker than maybe I would have as DD1 is having few bits from there. One door closes another opens. :A

When we were moving i went to a 24 hour supermarket at midnight when they were restocking the crisp aisle and asked for some boxes away. They were freaking huge and surprisingly sturdy

Agree, her earnings at £7k are under the threshold so her tax code is most likely wrong.

    Afternoon lovelies
just a call from TV licencing, it appears that my licence expired in april due to the fact that they refunded me when I mentioned they had too much of my money (suposed to have six months in advance was over seven).
Anyway this young lad started asking all sorts of security questions, I answered some but when he asked for my credit card details I explained that as he had called me I couldn't be sure who he was and if he wanted to hold I would renew on the website.
He got really angry (must be commission based) and started arguing about not being a risk.
I explained that as a senior bank clerk I deemed it a risk.
He started threatening me with all sorts and I then realised it was the person who rang me last year when they took too much money.
He of course denied it but I am pretty sure it was as he slammed the phone down then as he did this time.
So much for customer service, you'd have thought I had just committed a murder by his tone.

Have just got off the phone to T's customer service about the RSH codes not being in my account yet. I ordered mine on the 11th. He said the 72 hours is starting from today as they've had so many people apply and they've had to investigate lots of users ordering many more than the three they are allowed.

Everyone else probably already knows but the 0808 tesco number that is supposed to be free is not free from mobiles. Well definitely not free from Asda mobile as i found out to my cost. Hope this saves someone else having to pay for a call they thought was free.

The 2012/13 allowance was £8105 so if she didn't earn anything from any other sources she shouldn't have paid any tax.
