I did manage to get myself better enough to see her on Sunday night before her op on Monday, thanks goodness.
She is so good natured about it all, never been in hospital before apart from childbirth and no illnesses till her heart gave out.
Truly blessed.
Hopefully she'll be home before you know it HP. I know what a real trek it is to the hospitals there. Is she in Inverness or Aberdeen?0 -

I am thinking about joining in on this on but can't get to grips with it, think I need to look at the grabbit thread properly.
I know you need to spend £4 first but on what ???
The boots machine never gives me any vouchers except an extra points one for a £15 spend - would that help?
Don't need mascara - I had a sample Clinique one with a semi circular brush which is wonderful so when and if this runs out I'm going to treat myself whatever the cost
Too late to join in if you don't already have the vouchers, was posted on the Grabbit thread that it was the last day they were giving them out today.
The vouchers expire sunday and the offers will according to another poster carry on running so all good if you still have vouchers let.
EDIT: mhoc so you know for another time Boots give these vouchers out from time to time. Whatever there minimum spend is at the time (ie £4) to get one you can buy anything instore.0 -

Hi - don't be confused by that (the lack of Morries on MSM) - that's why I do my Morries price check every week!!:rotfl:The details for M's aren't on MSM and my Avs M post attempts to rectify that omission in as good (but not complete) way as possible. If you are doing your shopping using MSM, please 'screen' it against my list in case some of the items you have are cheaper in M. For my M list, I don't take literally every price in M (I'm sure that would be impossible for a single person to do!) but I look for items that I think represent good value in M. If an item isn't on my M list, it's unlikely to be on offer in M - it's not impossible but it's as best a guide I can give. Conversely, if an item is on the M list, it's very likely to be best value vs M.
Unless you know different - and please do tell me folks!
The Avs M (and I assume Tvs M) comps. are sometimes difficult, as the prices are collected in-store, therefore subject to human error (it's a manual collection process), and often items return showing N/A. These should either be brought up with HQ CS (on non-glitched shops) or people tell me by PM if an item on my list is returning N/A vs M or is returning at incorrect full price (or even higher!) and we can then, alternatively, decide not to buy it.
Avs M is always better*, due to the 10%. That's why, if printed out, I think my Avs M list is 9 pages, whereas Tvs M and M only are 1 page each! Mr T - if you offered 10%, you'd have 9 or 10 pages of products to buy from you! And as A offers an APG to be 10% cheaper than its competitors, including M, A will work out cheaper than M, meaning that, where M is cheapest on the shelf, it's always best (in theory anyway if we ignore the N/As and manual collection and, to be fair, A's APG team does seek to rectify these matters) it's always best to buy in A (with APG claim back) than it is to buy in M itself. Thus leaving M with items on which they are cheapest and which are not available in A (or no equivalent is). And also with items that are cheaper in M than T but N/A in A, since T would (at best?) price match to M and therefore it's either T(vs M) or M itself on those.
Right, it's the 'big' M price check tomorrow for me - another weekly wasting of my time for those of you in Northern Ireland I'm afraid!:D:rotfl::rotfl: (There are no Ms to compare to in N.I.) For the rest of you, it may save even more than comparing just against what is on MSM. There are the M lists on page 13, but do not use these as they are now out of date and you're awaiting the results of my checking tomorrow. The new M list is therefore available more fully on Saturday usually. I usually get to the new items by Friday night. Tomorrow night, I get the prices instore in M and you usually hear very little from me. Thursday night you might have the 'still valid' offers extracted from last week's (now expired) list - the new items are then added, usually on Friday and Saturday, as far as I get - and this then becomes this week's list.
Hopefully explained the process for any new people!
Alright then, I'll see you later.. bye for now!:):)
(This M list thing was originally supposed to be a one-off by me when I first came to this thread at the end of last year, but somehow it caught on with me and I've kept doing it...:rotfl:) This M list thing on here does help me with my own shopping as well.. it gets it more organised for me than I used to when I did it away from here and actually made it much easier for me when I did my last Avs M shopping on Sunday just gone - no going through those scrappy bits of paper again to try to work out a good vs M shop!
*In the absence of store-specific MOCs and the like (I've gone on to mention this in later posts, despite saying goodbye here!).0
